               The “Shapers Poster”  ( BIHS 1998 )

A Brochure for Island Hopper Charters

In addition to Internet Design, Island Design also works on  a variety of graphic design projects.  The most recent was the Journal of Beaver Island History, Volume 4, for the Beaver Island Historical Society.  The goal was a cover which better reflected the mystery and identity of Beaver Island.  While we retained the basic layout so that the series was maintained, we moved to a full color process to create the water intervals around the island, and used the “nautical chart” idea to create an interesting rear cover as well.

Island Design also attempted to stimulate more interest in membership to the Beaver Island Historical Society by launching a poster campaign.  We started with the “Shapers Poster” (above), and then moved to full color Museum Week Posters.  We also did a few poster series for events such as the annual open house, and the art shows.

Most of our recent attention has been focused on Web Design, and on the print campaigns which go along with web design.  Take a look at BeaverIsland.Net for our most recent project.  (All Design and Photography by Island Design)
